Introduction
A message from the Founder
–
As we celebrate 50 years since I made my first journey to visit isolated Christians behind the Iron Curtain, I remember the Scripture that God gave me and which is still relevant to our ministry today:
"See I have placed before you an open door that no-one can shut" (Rev 3:8).
After some 70 years, the communist revolution has run its course – as an ideology it died because it could not change people. Then another revolution started to challenge the West – Islam – and now many more of our brothers and sisters have been martyred for their faith in Jesus.
Fifty years ago, I was one man on a mission. Today, Open Doors is far more than just one man but the mission remains the same: to go through the doors God opens for us, wherever and whenever they are placed before us.
I still find myself going through doors that God sets before me. It hasn't got any easier – and it's your prayers and support that enable us to keep going through these doors to minister God's love to our suffering brothers and sisters in many practical ways.
I trust you will be encouraged to read how the Lord is using us as together we deliver Bibles, provide leadership training and teach livelihood skills to His Persecuted Church.
On their behalf, thank you for your faithful service and let's continue to 'strengthen what remains' (Rev 3:2) before it is too late.
Yours for them,

Brother Andrew
